CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

Corporate responsibility

Vifor Pharma believes that sustainable development is a requirement for the long-term success of the company. Our understanding of a learning organisation includes ongoing consideration of our social and environmental responsibility, which we constantly strive to fulfill.

Sustainability
Vifor Pharma pursues an integrated approach to sustainability, in the conviction that forward-looking and responsible actions contribute substantially to the company’s long-term success and affect all areas of the company. We will continue to explore the opportunities and challenges of sustainability in the years to come. One of our greatest challenges going forward, however, will be to reduce our carbon footprint. In future, Vifor Pharma will also be focused on integrating different social and corporate cultures to support the company’s growth in Switzerland and internationally.

Corporate Governance
Vifor Pharma is fully committed to the principles of corporate governance. We follow the recommendations of the Swiss Code of Best Practice for Corporate Governance of economiesuisse and meet the requirements stated in the Directive of the Swiss Exchange (SIX) on Information Relating to Corporate Governance.

Patient Organisations and Donations
Patient groups help Vifor Pharma gain a greater understanding of what it is like to live with a disease, the challenges patients and their families face, and the role of drug therapy in disease management. We share an interest in helping patients understand and manage their disease, including having timely and fair access to the treatments they need.

We are proud of our history of working with patient groups and work to ensure that our collaborations are based on integrity, maintenance of independence, respect, equity, transparency and mutual benefit. We work closely with a number of patient groups and follow the EFPIA Code.
