Investing in our employees

Investing in our employees

Our employees are our greatest asset. Vifor Pharma wants its employees to strive and to feel comfortable at work.  We have identified two focus areas within the Responsibility pillar EMPLOYEES.

Focus area: Employee Potential

Vifor Pharma invests actively in the continuous development of its employees, offering them internal education and training. We want our employees to be proud to work for Vifor Pharma, sharing the same values. We encourage a culture of diversity and inclusion and put our focus on developing talent for the future.

Measures include:

  • Employee development: Our employees are offered a host of education programmes and development tools. In addition, the internal ‘Mobility Guidelines’ define the terms and conditions of international assignments and permanent transfers.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: An internal ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ working-group seeks opportunities to further strengthen the diverse and inclusive workplace at Vifor Pharma Group.
  • Future talents: Vifor Pharma offers apprenticeships and internships at several locations. Our ‘Graduate Programme’ allows life science graduates to rotate through several departments during a two-year course.

Focus area: Workplace & Employee Wellbeing

Vifor Pharma aims to provide an attractive workplace environment in which employees can thrive and feel comfortable and safe. We also want them to be healthy and motivated. By means of measures that promote the well-being of our employees, we help them achieve a sound work-life-balance.

Measures include:

  • Workplace environment: Vifor Pharma’s ‘Code of Conduct’ prohibits any harassment and discrimination at work. In addition, employees can report violations of any kind using a dedicated round-the-clock emergency number.
  • Safe workplace: An internal ‘Safety’ working group, comprised of representatives of all production sites, is in charge of all safety-related issues.
  • Work-life-balance: In some countries, local employee assistance programmes are in place, offering employees a variety of services such as domestic help in case of illness.
